Happy Halloween!!

Yesterday, the ladies who lunch celebrated an early Halloween at Jane’s in Bucktown. As you can see, padded bellies and wacky animal/monster costumes are in!! Lauren and Charlie were very good sports, keeping these on for most of the meal!

Little Lindsay Peterson, asleep in the background. She’s dressed as a black cat. Way to make an appearance, Allie!!! It IS your cotillion today, isn’t it??

Tonight Charlie has plans to go trick or treating (for the first time!) with Daddy, Ethan, and Ethan’s Daddy, Mr. Jeremy. Mommy, Henry, and Ms. Jennifer are staying behind to hold down the candy fort and partake in a little mulled wine….ahem….non-alchoholic cider!!! 😉 Happy Halloween, everyone!!

The Great Sippy Conundrum

We have been very happy with Charlie’s recent proficiency with her sippy. At first she wasn’t taking it at all, so we would stand there and hold it for her. In Texas I would complain that she never wants to hold it herself, to which Poppy replied, “Well, I wouldn’t either if someone always held my glass for me!” Ok. I can take a hint. We started being a little more hard-core about it, and even if she fussed, we’d leave it on her tray. Finally, she tipped it back one day with both hands and discovered that milk actually came OUT of the spout. Amazing. Now, she’s an expert. She’ll even drink out of the insulated ones. Yay, no more spoiled milk!!! And no more bottles. that’s right, they have been put away. Congrats, Charlie, you are officially….somewhat a toddler??

Girl Time

We are all so lucky to have such healthy, beautiful girls! From left to right, we have little Lindsay Peterson sporting her sweet kimono top, Lauren in her Mommy’s Halloween wares, little Anna Klimek in some darling Janie & Jack, and Charlie in her MJ. How sweet are these darlings?? Charlie is blessed to have such wonderful friends!

Lazy Sunday

Yesterday, we spent the day in the ‘burbs with our very good friends, the Klimek’s. Our small group had a yummy potluck at their new home in Fox River Grove and it was so much fun getting together! Here’s what the girl wore for this special occasion….her Matilda Jane “Westside” knot which happens to be one of Daddy’s all-time faves!

Birthday Boy

Last Saturday Charlie spent the afternoon wishing her very good friend Tad a Happy Birthday! He celebrated his first year with teddy bear decorations and a delicious cake that Charlie couldn’t get enough of. Here’s Charlie in the Matilda Jane dress her Nana bought her…She loved playing with this Little People dollhouse!

The sweet birthday boy…..

We had so much fun! Happy Birthday, Tad!!
