I don’t know about you other Chicago mommies, but being stuck inside due to extreme cold is NOT easy. This is the second day we’ve had to cancel plans, and poor Charlie is battling a hacking cough, to boot. I’m sure that there are creative ways to keep both of us entertained during this “hibernation”, but I’m afraid my brain isn’t operating on full speed ahead today.
We were going to spend some time coloring, but then I realized her booster seat is in the car. Which is in the garage. That isn’t attached to our apartment. Hmm.
We had a little dance party (she loves the country band, “Sugarland”), but that only lasted for ten minutes.
When we were indoors this time last year Charlie was about 6 months old, and was still taking 3 (count ’em, 3!) naps….so this is a whole new ballgame….I’m afraid you may be subjected to some (gasp!) fashion shows if I get desperate for something to do. Stay warm!!
I hear you. I miss the naps far more than Addie does. I know our cold doesn’t even begin to compare to yours…but we’re 19 today, and we were 23 yesterday. Two days of staying in is tough!
