The Girlie

And so it is that Baby Charlie is no longer just a “baby”. What a strange and magnificent journey it’s been. We’ll still be blogging, never fear.

I thought I would close this “chapter” with a picture of the girlie on her very first day in the world. 6 pounds of feisty, giggly, girly joy.

Tutu Cute!!

So Mommy forgot to take the commemorative “monthly” shot with Fergie today. In lieu of that, we have some fetching shots of the birthday girl basking in the beautiful (end of) summer sun. This darling dress was a Forget Me Not Kids find, and has been taking up space in the closet for oh…about 8 months now. Worth the wait, no???

A Birthday Message from Daddy!

It’s difficult to imagine that a year has already passed since we were blessed with Charlie. It’s difficult to imagine how we ever got by without her. She reminds us, everyday, what Christ’s unconditional love looks like… feels like… and what a warm feeling it is.

Her relentless determination is matched only by her incredible sense of wonderment. I pray those never fade.

Thankfully, she looks like her mother, loves people like her mother, and has the ability to improve any room she inhabits… just like her mother. Seeing them together is dazzling.

Thanks to each of you for your ongoing prayers, for your guidance, and for celebrating and loving Charlie in such meaningful and genuine ways. How interesting that this past year has really revealed to me what Christ’s love looks like. What an incredible blessing from God.
