It’s Midnight and I just returned home from a really fun evening at Ravinia with some gal pals. It was an amazing star-filled night, weather-wise. We listened to the music of The Indigo Girls (a college fave) and stuffed ourselves silly with bread, cheese, 5-layer dip, hummus, homemade cookies and a little vino. (Not me, of course, I brought some Pellegrino!)

Tomorrow Vann and I go back to Ravinia for the Diana Krall concert. It was meant to be a surprise for his big bday next week, but as usual, I caved and told him where we were going. Oh well, he hasn’t seen the goodies I bought for dinner yet…that’ll put a smile on his face.

In other news, Charlie had her first gymnastics class through the Chicago Park District yesterday, and loved it! I didn’t get any pics because I was chasing her down most of the time, but at some point during her 8 week class I WILL get some. It was a little difficult getting her to follow directions (too distracted by all the fun stuff to climb on) but she did participate in most of the exercises and seemed excited to do so.
